ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Hi All! I’m Hamish.
From a young age, I discovered my calling as a support worker. And it all began when my uncle moved into my family home at 8. My Uncle was a bull rider and the definition of a cow boy. He taught me to ride a bike and how to drive a car.
My uncle also lived with schizophrenia.
Despite the challenges he faced, my uncle’s kindness and unique zest of life left an indelible mark on me. Though he has now passed away, the lessons he taught me will stay with me always.

As I grew older, the desire to make a difference became ingrained in my journey. Pursuing social science at university, my goal was clear: to craft meaningful policies that could genuinely help people like my uncle. During this time, I officially stepped into the role of a disability support worker, and that’s when I discovered my true passion. For three years, I dedicated myself to Supported Independent Living, gaining invaluable insights into the lives of individuals and the workings of the NDIS.
Witnessing the challenges firsthand, I recognised the need for improvement and decided to take action. Fueled by a desire to create positive change, I, along with the support of others, am embarking on the journey of Mulberry Supports.
Our mission is to provide genuine and compassionate support to those in need, drawing from my personal experiences and a commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals facing diverse challenges. Join us on this empowering adventure, where every step forward is a step toward a more inclusive and supportive community.
